Eight hurt in multiple M4 pile-up

At least ten vehicles have been involved in a crash on the eastbound carriageway of the M4 in south Wales, closing the road in both directions.
Firefighters from three engine crews have been cutting people out of their vehicles, and drivers are being diverted onto nearby roads.
Ten people have been treated at the scene of the crash between junction 36 at Bridgend and junction 35 at Pencoed.
The collisions happened just after 1300 BST.
Traffic Wales was reporting traffic was at a standstill and drivers are being warned to approach the area with care.
An air ambulance has been called to the scene.
The motorway has been closed between junction 34 at Miskin and junction 36 and police are directing drivers through the A473 at Waterton onto the A48 at Pyle.
Two outside lanes have also been closed between junctions 34 and 35, and between junctions 37 and 38. </p
